Breaking news, ABC gave the greenlight for three new pilots.
Inside the Box
From Grey’s Anatomy executive producer, Shonda Rhimes, and screenwriter, Richard E. Robbins, comes this story of a “Washington network news bureau (that) centers on an ambitious female news producer and her colleagues.”
Sound interesting? Nope. Might as well be a spinoff of Brothers & Sisters with Calista Flockhart. I’d watch that.
I, Claudia
“… Is a contemporary drama from writer John Scott Shepherd. The project, produced by ABC Studios, centers on Claudia McIntire, a young prosecuting attorney who doesn’t know that one day she is going to be a serious contender for the presidency of the United States.”
Really? Prequel that may or may not end with her getting a presidency bid? Meh.
Brothers & Detectives (Name Pending)
Obviously this will get a different name given that it sounds like Brothers & Sisters. This is “… written and exec produced by Daniel Cerone, is about a low-level detective who, after the death of his estranged father, discovers he has a brilliant 11-year-old brother who is adept at helping him solve crimes.”
This just sounds like an 80s show. Doogie Howser P.I.! It is based on an Argentinian drama. Which begs to question, Argentina has original programming!?
Am I excited by any of these? No. ABC should’ve kept Pushing Daisies and Eli Stone!
